Working again with FlickerLab in New York, Friend art directs a 30 second spot for St Mary Medical Center. Using a digital hand painted animation technique (Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter), the spot depicts a number of heart procedures the medical center specializes in.
St Joseph Commercial

Creating the look and style, as well as the characters, Friend has just completed art directing a new spot for St. Joseph Cancer Institute in Maryland with animation house, FlickerLab. A fully hand painted animation, the commercial was first animated traditionally, then painted digitally with Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter to achieve a stop-motion painted look.
The commercial, nationally show, will depict the hospital’s unique way of treating cancer patients.

Work from 2006 has been added to the animation reel, including new projects for the Long Island Child Abuse Prevention Services, Shoja Azari’s film “Windows” and MoveOn PAC television commercials.
