Friend takes the reins from illustrator Will Davis to illustrate JT Petty’s third installment in the Clemency Pogue fantasy series. “Clemency Pogue: The Scrivener Bees“ continues the story of the title character in her adventures to keep the world of make believe from being taken control by the greedy little changeling, Inky Mess, and his horde of goblin followers.

The new Post Magazine cover (April of 2007) features a cover by David Michael Friend, depicting a near future of Las Vegas, the holding grounds of the annual NAB convention that features the latest and greatest in electronics.
The cover was done in Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter.
Character Designs

The Character Design section in the Design area of the portfolio has been updated with a new look and new illustrations. As always, almost every illustration on the site has some character design to it in some form, but this section shows off the process of the catagory with illustrations ranging from sketches to final colors.
