Samhain 2007 Poster

Friend has created the new poster for Drama of Works‘ Carnival of Samhain, a puppet & variety show post-halloween celebration presented at the Henry Street Settlement.
Continuing with his series of demon animals (the alligator wrestler, the aeroelephantologist), the fire breathing bear unfortunetly has no trainer. In fact, many have tried to tame the beast, but to deadly consequences.
Friend will be performing his puppet show The Typist in this festival all four days (Nov 1st - 4th)
The Typist

A new puppet short of David Michael Friend’s will debute in New York City at Dixon Place on February 2nd and 3rd. Called “The Typist”, it tells of a man that has to contend with an incorrigible Fate.
It will be part of Puppet BloK, an all encompassing venue for alternative modes of storytelling. Also showing is Lindsay Abromaitis-Smith’s piece, “The Ballad of Cupid and Psyche”
