DESCRIPTION

This was an animation using Thierry Lafontaine's illustration on the cover of the novel "The Peculiar" for a point of purchase display.

The process involved dissecting Lafontaine's artwork, filling in the blank spaces for each of the elements that needed to move around and then changing the format from the vertical dimensions of the book cover to the horizontal movie dimensions.

The 15 second animation can be looped seamlessly over and over again. There were a few parts that I had to hand animated due to the rotation in the z axis; the gear on top of the bird's head and the chest crank off to her side.
